Day 1

Homework: Students will go home and ask their family members about memorable events that took place in their lives corresponding to the different periods of the historical highlights. Students will write down the family events or special memories from their lives as shown below. Students will also bring photos or artifacts from home to school.

Note to the students:

• Choose a specific Historical Reference Point.

• Be sure to talk to a family member about this time period.

• Select a few photos or artifacts that represent the time period.
